PostHeaderIcon glitches corrected

teallayout
the supposedly new blog layout

Now, i can see the blog archive and anyone can post comments. I had to change the layout so there. I will have to make it more personal by changing the header though. I will make time for it next time around. Meanwhile, i’ll enjoy this cute graphics. :)

PostHeaderIcon glitches

Tsk. And i just thought i already have an awesome layout. Well, i “thought-ted” wrong.

Now i discover some glitches. I can’t see the tags/categories of every post and the most annoying of all, i can’t see the “comment” button. How would my guests leave some comments here? Tsk.. tsk…. Though i can see previous comments, i can’t create a new one (for those entries without prior comments)…

Oh boy, i have to spend another amount of time to figure this out or change layout again. Whew! Not good.

PostHeaderIcon Italy

NO, i wasn’t there. I have neven been there. Unfortunately.

But my friend is. She is there for a two-week vacation. Neat! I’m envious. She is visiting her sister in Switzerland and touring other neighboring places is a sure thing to do.

She has invited me to go with her but heavens, i don’t have the money to spend. I can only imagine the views when she says how she loves the historical places and of course how she loves shopping in Milan.

Euro tour for now will remain an elusive dream. But who knows someday it will come true. As my teacher would say, as long as the sun shines in the horizon, anything can happen. ;)

PostHeaderIcon new theme & layout

Yes! I am finally able to change the layout and theme of this blog.

Initially, i wanted a theme dominant with navy blue colors. I found some themes that fit my required color scheme but it’s either i don’t like the formatting or i find it hard to edit for me to customize.

I got this teal color instead and i thought it’s cool and soothing to the eyes. What do you think? I played with a lot of group pics for the header but eventually end up with a solo picture of me. I hope this won’t scare visitors out! Lol! Don’t you worry, as soon as i find the perfect header, i will change the current one. :P

I promise, promise, to update this blog more often now. Crossing my fingers! ;)

PostHeaderIcon exploring caves: Camotes (part 1)

The Camotes Islands are a group of islands that form part of the province of Cebu, in the Philippines. The island group is located east of Cebu Island, southwest of Leyte Island, and north of Bohol Island.

Both of my parents were born and raised in Pilar, Camotes. The last time i went there was when i was about 10 years old. My parents have migrated to the city of Cebu when they got married and have live here since then.

I was already working when i set foot again in the beautiful islands of Camotes. But it wasn’t until last year when i discovered two caves in Poro – another island and municipality in the group of islands.

Pink from head to toe… what about that? :P

Part II… more photos.

PostHeaderIcon exploring caves: Bohol

Spelunking. Defined as to explore natural caves.

Honestly, i’m not a fan of caves. I’m claustrophobic, somehow. But what really scares me is the body of water inside caves. Because you know – i’m not a good swimmer (read: don’t know how to swim). Yes, ironies of all ironies, for someone like me who likes to go to beaches, i should at least be able to swim.

So anyways, as far as i remember, my first cave exploration happened last 2004 in Bohol. It wasn’t my first time to see a cave though. There’s a holy cave in Guadalupe, the baranggay where i live, called Langub sa Guadalupe.

Hinagdanan Cave, Bohol

This is one of the tourist attractions in Bohol during the day tour. When i get there last 2007 again, we were not able to visit this place anymore. Too many things to see but not much time.

Six years ago. See how thin i was then? Ok, not that thin but surely i wasn’t overweight…
